Founded by Jenna & Luis, dance partners for 13 years, and now proudly owned and operated by Jenna, J&L Dance Studio has always been about building community through dance. Our studio is a second home for many, where people come to learn, connect, and have fun. Whether you’re taking your first class or you’re an experienced dancer looking to grow, we have something for you.

Join us for a Bachata, Salsa, Hip Hop, or Kizomba classes — even if you have two left feet! Just drop in and experience the welcoming, supportive dance community we’ve built together.

In addition to group classes, we offer private lessons, corporate events, performance teams, and Boston’s favorite Bachata socials.

Salsa on2

Salsa on2, also known as Mambo style or New York style, is a form of salsa dance that emphasizes breaking on the second beat of the music. Distinguished by its intricate footwork, smooth partner connections, and precise timing, Salsa on2 adds flair to the vibrant world of Latin dance.

hip-hop

Hip-hop dance is a dynamic and expressive street dance form rooted in the hip-hop culture. It encompasses a wide range of styles, including breaking, locking, and popping. Fueled by creativity and individuality, hip-hop dance allows dancers to showcase their unique moves, attitude, and rhythmic flair in sync with the beats of hip-hop music.

Bachata

Bachata is a passionate dance style originating from the Dominican Republic. Known for its close partner connection, subtle hip movements, and heartfelt rhythms, Bachata allows dancers to convey emotion through graceful steps and genuine expression.  

Kizomba

Kizomba, originating from Angola, is a captivating partner dance known for its slow, rhythmic movements and close connection between dancers. The dance's soulful melodies and smooth transitions create a harmonious and expressive experience on the dance floor.

Renting our studio offers a private and equipped environment, allowing users to pursue their interests, practice, or conduct events without the need for a permanent space commitment. This studio does an awesome job at helping folks new to dance feel comfortable and welcome. Have done classes with Luis, Jenna, & Sirae so far and all bring such great energy and patience with their craft. I see the Level 2 and 3 folks look awesome while dancing - so that leads me to believe the advanced classes are very good. Prices are very reasonable and they are super convenient to the MBTA. Highly recommend!
