Salsa on2, also known as Mambo style or New York style, is a dynamic form of salsa dance that emphasizes breaking on the second beat of the music. Distinguished by its intricate footwork, smooth partner connections, and precise timing, Salsa on2 adds flair to the vibrant world of Latin dance.

Offered: Mondays, 6-7pm

4 Week Curriculum: For students completely new to Salsa or dance in general who want to learn Salsa and ensure you are confident on the dance floor!

NO DROP-INS ALLOWED. If you are going to miss a week, you can either make it up on another day of the same week if the same class is offered OR we recommend you wait until the next cycle starts so you can complete the full course.

We will cover basic steps & turns, movement, timing & musicality and variations of the steps to get creative.

Level 1 / Beginner

New Cycles Every Month

Offered: Mondays, 6-7pm

8 Week Curriculum: This level is broken into two 4 week progressive courses (A & B). It is for students who have completed or tested out of the Intro to Salsa course (with instructor permission). It is also for students with basic Salsa On2 knowledge who want to learn or master the fundamentals of Salsa in partnering and ensure you are confident on the dance floor!

Salsa Level 2 / Advanced Beginner

Offered: Mondays, 7-8pm

Learn new and creative ways to become a better social dancer! We will cover different steps plus different variations of shapes to throw a spin on the fundamentals.

 You will also be challenged by learning some new partnerwork “tools” and by adding some style and movement to it all.

Prerequisite for this level: Must have complete two cycles of Level 1 (both 1A & 1B) and/or have a strong understanding of Salsa On2 timing, leading & following all the basic steps & turns. Approval by instructors is required!

Salsa Level 3 / Intermediate

Offered: Mondays, 8-9pm

Join us for an Intermediate challenge as we go deeper into the styles of Salsa and more advanced concepts! We will add dynamics, movement, and style into more challenging concepts.

Each week will introduce a new complex concept so you will be able to incorporate it into your social dancing. Get ready for an energetic class that will take your dancing to the next level!

* Must have taken at least 3 months of consistent classes in Advanced Beginner level AND at least 1 year of dancing socially. Must have a very strong understanding of Salsa fundamentals and able to execute more advanced footwork and turns on the social dance floor. 

Salsa Shines / Intermediate

Offered: Thursdays, 7-8pm

Must have strong basics/foundation in Salsa on2.
